Paediatric Speech Pathologists are experts in assessing, diagnosing, and treating various communication disorders. 

These include challenges related to; speaking, listening, understanding language, reading, writing, social communication, stuttering, and voice usage.

They work with children facing communication barriers due to a range of difficulties such as:

  • Learning and Intellectual Difficulties

  • Cerebral Palsy

  • Neurodiversity

  • Brain Injuries

  • Strokes

  • Hearing Loss 

They also offer assistance to those struggling with swallowing food and liquids. 

It is mandatory for therapists to be registered with Speech Pathology Australia, the peak regulatory body in Australia.
